I'm thinking about taking ART COMMISSIONS under the following pricing criteria, with the option to reject commissions...
Materials cost +
Shipping cost +
$5 overhead +
$6 per figure +
$5-25 for adjustments +
$5 extra charge for explicit art +
Adjustments for skill and quality
Any disagreement? Agreement? Ideas or options? Who would commission from me? Why? What would you commission, and/or what media would you pay for a commission in? Should I give things like Happy Birthday discounts? |

I'm in a "blah" mood right now, generally okay but sick, and I thought I'd say a few things about well, two things that effect me greatly.
Too many people don't understand Diabetes or CAH. I thought I would share, not to be lecture-y, but because everyone SHOULD know, at least, more about Diabetes.
I was a very premature baby. My mother had an emergency delivery because my umbilical cord had become wrapped around my neck in the womb and I was suffocating.
Because of it, I have a compound complicative autoimmune disorder that focuses on my endocrine system-- the system that controls things like hormones and other fun secretions.

1: If you saw me online until now? I was not actually online. I woke up to find my AIM both open and online, for GOD knows what reason. I closed it. I didn't respond since it was apparently a household poltergeist at play.
I blame Reed Jahdi.

As somebody pointed out to me, I was being Asked About on fandom_lounge. Why? The world may never know. However, it has give us all a lesson in convoluted logic.
Gee. I wonder why...
Those people make my head hurty. Especially when they talk about me like, um, they know me? Or something? Like I'm some kind of BNF of some sort (whatever a BNF really is) when all I really do is idle a lot without warning people on AIM and spam my Livejournal with MP3 posts.

So anyway, I pruned my friendslist something awful today. I added a few new people. WAVES TO THE NEW PEOPLE.
I also, unfortunately, trimmed a few people off. For various reasons, such as--
1: We never really talked and I like to get CLOSE to people. I'm a freak.
2: We don't talk ANYMORE because of various reasons.
3: *sheepish* I can't remember who you are.
I don't PLAY any playlist politics or anything, but I have serious ADHD and issues paying attention and sifting through things, and well. If you WANT me to add you back, or add you in general, tell me. I will do that. I didn't trim anybody for any motive but sheer human laziness and a need to organize.
I'm having my pre-midlife crisis crisis, I think.
ANYWAY, I hope to update my journal more often now that the holidays are over MUCH art, some of the stupid fic I post when I'm convinced it's readable. MORE art.

I bought a box of my local chain grocer's Justice League fruit snacks today while I was grocery shopping. They were delightful and amusing and I decided that the following must be shared with the world.
Superman and Batman are apparently Blue Raspberry flavored, the flavor that does not actually exist.
Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl are watermelon, the flavor that tastes nothing like actual watermelon.
Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter are green apple flavor. There is more J'onn than anything, so HAH. Small victories.
The Flash, the Fastest Fruit Snack Alive, is tropical punch flavor. Tropical punch OWNS you. |

So anyway, I was gone for a bit because I woke up at six AM yesterday morning with Jahdi to discover that sometime during the night our refrigerator had expired. Deceased. Gone to meet the appliance dealer in the sky. It is an ex-refrigerator.
Really kind of annoying because it was a 1,000 dollar Frigidaire-- but according to Maggie Linarelli, my new appliance lady, a lot of people won't deal with Fridgidaires because of "quality reasons". So yeah. Me? Pissed.
After we get done buying ice and putting our (EXPENSIVE. HOLIDAY.) food in six coolers on the porch, we spend the day fridge shopping. We finally settle on spending about 1,100$ on a new fridge and a new dryer (we've needed one for a while-- I was freeloading off the Mothermonster).
OK, good, fine-- but we don't want to put it on Jahdi's VISA because the card is for emergency emergencies, like hotel stays or car repairs, etc. So we try to get financing and Wells-Fargo turns us down because we're both students. Wells-Fargo can KISS MY ASS. We get turned down a few more times, but thankfully we get picked up for a 1-year no-interest local loan with 25% APR after that.
And, well, I'm not worried because we HAVE the money, we just don't have it RIGHT NOW, you know? My grant check is 800$ and it's coming in a few weeks, so I can relax.
But I'm still PISSED OFF at Frigidaire. |
